My new method: Self analysis of rated OTB games (CHESS - SCHAKEN - SCHACH)
My new method: Self - analysis of rated OTB - games
I have read on the internet that, if you don't have a coach, your could analyze your own games yourself.
So today I was sitting in the bakery shop replaying my lost chessclub team game and I took notes of what were the ideas of the moves in handwritten form on 2 sheets of paper.
Like this to give an example. I have to do this in German, because my chessclub is German and I also want to show it to my chess course teacher who is also German.
11. S d - f5 K h7 > S f5 greift Bauern h6 an!
12. L e2 S e5 > S e5 finde ich ganz gut.
13. f4 L x S f5 > Der gute S e5 wird durch f4 sofort vertrieben.
Like this I have annotated my whole game.
This is a very effective exercise because you rethink about why everything happened in the game. And you really spot good moves and bad moves. And where the biggest mistakes lie and why you didn't win the game. It's like what a game coach does but this is your own work.
I will do this again for important rated games.
